In keeping with the lifestyle & culture theme of this blog, I will be keeping track of all of the places that I recommend in my posts.  To find out more, just click on the name of the place of which you are interested for a link to the respective location's page.  All comments and opinions are my own, and I would not recommend any place that I myself would not visit.

Miami Restaurants

Opinion: The Rusty Pelican is an outstanding, up-scale dining option offering guests the ultimate Miami experience.  Located just off the Rickenbacker Causeway, TRP has unmatchable views of the city of Miami at all times of day.  The dining experience is utterly impressive, with exotic Latin-inspired dishes and fresh local seafood.  Whether you're in the mood for an award-winning weekend brunch, weekday lunch, dinner or a lavish, large-scale event, TRP is sure to provide an incredible experience bar none.

Town Kitchen & Bar
Post: On Weekends We Brunch

Opinion: With the slogan "A Neighborhood Joint," Town offers great tasting food, excellent service, and a relaxed, casual atmosphere.  As an informal gathering place, Town appeals to all age groups and offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options any day or night of the week.  With an extensive menu at a very reasonable price point, there is something for everyone with a focus on freshness, attention to detail, quality ingredients and unique recipes.

Threefold Cafe
Post: On Weekends We Brunch

Opinion: Threefold Cafe is a popular Miami restaurant with locations on Miracle Mile and Red Road that has a nice environment and attentive service.  Ranked as one of the 13 Best Breakfast Restaurants in Miami, Threefold attracts all populations from trendy hipsters to large families.  The large portion sizes accommodate groups that wish to share and ensure that you won't be left disappointed.  Hit them up for their famous Smashed Avocado Toast or a delicious cup of Panther Coffee and enjoy an American brunch with an Aussie twist.

Morgans Restaurant
Post: On Weekends We Brunch

Opinion: Located in the up-and-coming Wynwood Art District, Morgans is open every day for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner.  The restaurant's menu and location allow for the perfect first stop before touring the popular galleries that line the midtown streets.  The decent size portions are fairly priced and offer something for everyone, with menus changing at 4pm every day.  Enjoy a mimosa or cocktail while waiting to be seated, and always opt for the table outside.

GreenStreet Cafe
Post: On Weekends We Brunch

Opinion: Ask any University of Miami student their favorite brunching spot, and GreenStreet Cafe is sure to come up in conversation, with right reason.  Located in the popular Coconut Grove just off the Promenade Plaza, GreenStreet offers indoor and outdoor seating on its popular corner.  Go early or be prepared to wait; weekend wait times after 10am can exceed hours at a time due to the lack of weekend reservation availability.  Get here at the right time and enjoy a mimosa or artistic coffee alongside signature dishes such as Nutella French Toast, the Cinnamon Roll Pancake or Eggs Benedict to name a few.

Lulu in the Grove
Post: On Weekends We Brunch

Opinion: Located just across the street from GreenStreet and operated under the same management, Lulu offers a unique dining experience in an eclectic setting.  Just like GreenStreet, show up early or be prepared to wait.  All dishes are made with fresh, local and organic ingredients and offer alternative options such as Huevos Rancheros, Oreo Waffles and a Parmesan Pesto Omelette.  Check out this eco-friendly joint for yourself to see why this sidewalk cafe is, too, a Miami staple.

Jaxsons Ice Cream Parlor and Restaurant (Dania Beach, FL)
Post: I Scream, You Scream

Opinion: Hands down one of the most incredible restaurant experiences in the South Florida area.  Jaxsons, a Dania Beach/Hollywood staple, has been serving customers since the 1950s.  Ice cream concoctions are presented as masterpiece artworks in gargantuan serving sizes and dazzled with sparklers for the special occasion.  Come early and hungry; lines can have wait times up to an hour on the weekends for large parties but service time is speedy (a result of the cold ice cream temperatures).  Enjoy a one-of-a-kind sundae, cone, or even waffle in this environment adorned with license plates and restaurant reviews, as well as an old-fashioned gift shop.

The Dandee Donut Factory (Pompano Beach, FL & Hollywood, FL)
Post: Wednesday --> Weekend Recap

Opinion: I'm not usually a fan of donuts.  I think they're good but I never understood the hype around them.  That is, until I visited The Dandee Donut Factory.  I never would have guessed that a diner/shack-looking place on the side of the road could make donuts as delicious as the ones we tried.  Go for the Baker's Dozen and get your choice of thirteen donuts in a variety of flavors.  Among my favorites are the marble glaze, chocolate spotlight, Oreo and chocolate with sprinkle.  Can't get donuts for breakfast or are craving a sweet midnight snack?  No need to worry --> DD is open 24/7 with varying hours on federal holidays.
